Comment:Ralph Weller was a notable business leader. As co-chair of the National Association of Manufacturers (NAM) Industrial Mission to the Mid-East in November 1974, Weller spearheaded talks with Iranian and Arab leaders which helped US industry expand and diversify its trade and investment presence in those critical regions following the oil price shocks of the 1970s. Weller's business statesmanship and quick wit projected reliability and character.

I was privileged to work closely with Ralph on this and other projects of the NAM International Economic Affairs Committee.
